Bangladesh is an independent sovereign state in South Asia. Independence constitutional name People's Republic of Bangladesh. Geographically, the candidates are West Bengal in the upper west, West Bengal, Assam and Meghalaya in the north, Assam, Tripura and Mizoram in the east, China and Rakhine states on the south-eastern border and Bengaluru on the south coast. The vast majority of the geographically dominant delta is Bangladesh territory. In terms of population, Bangladesh is the 8th largest country with a population of more than 17 crores. 57 international rivers pass through the riverine territory of Bangladesh. To the north-east and to the south-east the mountains of Tertiary age are seen mixed with clouds. The country's leader in mangrove forests is Sundarbans and the longest natural beach is Cox's Bazar Beach.
